About

My name is Sarah; my husband and I have been married for over 5 years and tried to conceive for about 4 years before welcoming our identical twin daughters into the world.  We had “unexplained infertility”, zero positive pregnancy tests, and few answers.  After trying various different types of treatments, we found wild success with IVF.  We are blessed beyond measure with a loving and supportive family, a beautiful home, sweet puppy dogs, successful careers, a loving marriage, and now our baby girls!  This blog journals my account of our journey through the last stages of our infertility journey, our twin pregnancy, and ramblings about parenting twins.  Updating this “about me” to reflect my new mommy status has me teary eyed right now.  One bittersweet thing that the pain of infertility teaches you is an immense amount of gratitude for your children.  As tough as it is sometimes to balance the needs of the twins with the needs of the rest of the family, I will never go one day without cherishing them and thanking God for entrusting me with these precious souls.

    • Thank you! Glad to see your most recent post and hear how things are going. I totally understand those mixed feelings. On the one hand, f***, will it ever (never?) happen for me?! And on the other hand, you wouldn’t be doing what you are doing if there weren’t success stories. 🙂 Thanks for reading!

  1. It sounds like you and your husband are in the same boat as Donnie and I. It may sound silly but I am looking forward to reading about your journey to parenthood. If you ever want to talk, please message me. I know having a shoulder to lean on is beyond helpful. 🙂

    • Thank you so much for sharing that thought, and for understanding. I know you know how painful it is from your first-hand experience, and it’s very kind of you to extend that blessing to us. I just read your latest post, and it also brought tears to my eyes. Love it!

    • Yes, it is difficult not having answers. And how far do you go for answers before giving up or giving in to IVF or adoption? (Not that those aren’t great options, they are just very expensive!)
They have since found and removed a large uterine polyp which could possibly have been the missing link to infertility and painful, heavy periods. We will see!

    • hehehe. Our tooth fairy has forgotten too. But for her, she usually remembers at 4 am and deaetrspely tries to sneak the dollar under the pillow without waking the kid. One time, she cut it very close…
